This high performance mat is a dense mat with superior traction and made to last. It is affordable and an excellent value if you are looking for a mat that is also durable. One side has a pebble-like texture and the other a matte finish. It is recommended that you roll your mat with the ‘dots’ facing outward to prevent your mat corners from flipping up. Personally, I would use both sides, switching between them, to reduce wear and tear on one side. Both sides offer excellent traction. At 5 pounds, it is a little heavier that most standard mats, but still light enough you can tote it to class.”
