Want to try out a fun and different way to practice? Jump off the mat and into the pool!

Aqua yoga is a great way to relax, relieve tension and tone muscles. It’s super low-impact, making it great for those with flexibility or joint issues. A huge number of poses can be modified for an aquatic environment, and many will be easier because you don’t feel the same effects of gravity in the water. This is a great way to build confidence and get into poses that you might not be ready for on land.

But aqua yoga isn’t just for beginners or less flexible folks; there’s something for advanced practitioners, too! Some aspects of aqua yoga can be difficult at first – even if you’re a seasoned yogi – because the resistance of the water creates new challenges. This enables you to build strength and use muscles that you may not have engaged before.

When you’re ready for dry land again, visit www.barefootyoga.com for all your yoga needs. For joint pain, try our Hybrid Eco Mats, bolsters and Mexican blankets for restorative yoga.
